While most of us have known Donna and Steve for several years it is impossible to capture everything that she has accomplished in her lifetime of service. Donna Davis Hill was actively serving as president of Loganville Rotary Club when she passed very unexpectedly this past week. She had served as the Foundation Chair and was a Paul Harris Fellow.
Donna was employed in the senior insurance field with E2E Benefits. She was active in her professional association on state and national level. She was married to the love of her life Steve and saddened when he required long term care this past year.
She was from Tuscaloosa, Alabama and graduated from University of Alabama. She was a life-long fan and loved to wear her scarlet “A” and her elephant jewelry. She also enjoyed football and was usually ranked fairly high in the annual Rotary football pool.
She was a member of Canon Memorial Methodist church where she had a great network of friends and was a Bible Study Leader. Reading was one of Donna’s joys in life and she enjoyed print and audio books. She was a member of a book club and had recently joined a new book club at the O’Kelly Memorial Library in Loganville. She loved that one of Rotary’s focuses was literacy and enjoyed our literacy projects. Another of her passions were her dogs. She had several and had also fostered many dogs over the years.
Below are some comments that have been shared by others that knew Donna.
- I loved my time spent with Donna. She is a veteran professional on many levels. Her attention to detail and thoroughness is ararity it seems these days. I would do business or hire Donna in a heartbeat. She is a breath of fresh air in the complicated world of Medicare.
- Donna has an enormous amount of talent and dedication to our industry. I am proud to have worked with her and consider her a vital contact as our industry changes.
- She has been a great mentor to lean on and took time out of her schedule to help me start building a good network within Georgia. She is a person that brings a lot of energy to any situation and really strives to better herself and those around her daily.
- With grace and humility, Donna exemplified Service Above Self in her personal life, her vocational service, and service to her beloved Rotary Club and community.

Here is the obituary for Donna.
Donna Davis Hill, age 71, of Lilburn, Georgia, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025. She was born on August 8, 1953, to Hubert Miles Davis and Ida Hallford Davis of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She graduated from Tuscaloosa High School in 1971 and studied secondary education at the University of Alabama.
Donna married Stephen Lamar Hill on March 21, 1975. Their only child, Jeffrey Charles Hill, predeceased Donna and Steve on May 20, 2021.
She was involved in many different organizations, usually in a leadership role. As a member of Cannon United Methodist Church in Snellville, Donna served on church council, and she initiated a Bible study group that met weekly for twenty years. She often quoted Joshua 24:15, “But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
While working at E2E Benefit Services, Donna discovered helping seniors navigate the complex world of Medicare was her calling; she loved her work. Related to work, she was a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters where she held many offices, including president of the Georgia State Chapter.
The Loganville Rotary Club played an important role in Donna’s life. Their motto, Service Above Self, is an apt description of the way Donna lived her life. At the time of her death, she was president of the club. Donna and Steve called Lilburn home. They shared their home with five dogs, two of them rescue dogs, and were avid football fans, pulling for the University of Alabama, of course. She is preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Charles Hill, and her parents, Hubert Miles Davis and Ida Hallford Davis.
