Betty Pickett Stuckey
Betty P. Stuckey is a native Texan, who has resided in DeKalb County for 30+ years. She has a Master of Business Administration Degree from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting from the University of Houston.

Betty has over 40 years of experience in financial services and accounting. She retired in 2016 from Fannie Mae, a Financial Services company where she was a Senior Portfolio Manager, after working for 30 years in various management positions. Betty had responsibility for managing a servicing portfolio of $40 Billion, providing leadership, and strategic consulting while influencing best in class servicing performance. Throughout her career at Fannie Mae, she received several leadership awards for excellence, including the Atlanta Office Leadership Award and the Effective Leadership for Mentoring Award.

Betty has served in several leadership roles in various community service organizations. She was the President of Lambda Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Incorporated® from 2014 – 2017. The chapter’s membership of approximately 425 has provided service to the DeKalb County, GA community for the past 48 years.

Betty served in numerous other leadership roles in the chapter and has been awarded the honor
of Officer of the Year for her position as Treasurer, the Spirit of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority award, Soror Lighthouse Award, Committee of the Year under her tenure as Leadership Development Chairman & Risk Management Chairman, Soror of the Year, and the President’s Service Award. Betty also served as a member of the International Foundations Committee of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Betty has received several awards for her work in the sorority at the Regional (GA, SC, & FL) level. She received 1st place for the Georgia Schank Innovative Award submitted on behalf of the chapter during the 2006 South
Atlantic Regional Conference for a “Youth Financial Literacy Program” she implemented at Chapel Hill Middle
School; 1st Place for the Vertelle M. Middleton Most Promising Graduate Soror at the 2006 Regional Conference;
and 1st place for the Homie Regulus Basileus (President) Award at the 2017 Regional Conference.

Betty also served as Vice President for the Forever Pink Foundation, Incorporated, and chairman of various committees for Lambda Epsilon Omega Foundation, Incorporated. Betty volunteers with many other community organizations and is a member of the National Council of Negro Women, and Greater Travelers Rest Baptist Church.

Betty and her husband of 49 years, Samuel A. Stuckey enjoy spending time with their daughter and son-in-law,
Krystal and Aubrey Brooks, and grand dogs, Tyson, and Tip. Her hobbies include reading, scrapbooking, and
genealogy. She was accepted as a Charter Member in the National Society of the Sons & Daughters of the United
States Middle Passage (SDUSMP) in 2023. SDUSMP, a non-profit, charitable 501(c)3 organization is a lineage
society for descendants of individuals enslaved in English colonial America and the United States of America
from 1619-1865. It is dedicated to preserving the memory of our freed and enslaved ancestors. Betty is a 13-
year Breast Cancer Survivor.
