Exciting things are happening in Springville! The new Springville Rotary Club has met the qualifications to charter a club!
The Springville Club has been operating as a satellite club for about a year under the Trussville Rotary Daybreak Club. Rotary International requires that a club have at least 20 members before becoming a stand-alone club.
Springville resident Mike Ennis has been named president of the new club. The Club has already begun doing services projects in the community and has welcomed several interesting speakers at its meetings. Chief Wayne Walton of the Springville Police Department recently spoke to the club. (See photo.) Don’t forget “Springville Night Out” on June 18th!
If you would like to join this exciting group and make a difference in your community, it’s not too late! The Club meets at 7 a.m. every Thursday at the storm shelter by the Springville Fire Department.
The Springville Al Rotary Club meets at the storm shelter in Springville near the Springville Fire Department (210 Walker Drive) on Thursday mornings at 7 a.m. For more information on the Club, or to help with one of our projects, please ‘like’ us on Facebook (Springville Al Rotary Club) or email Shelly at [email protected].
