The Springville Area Rotary Satellite Club has selected its January and February Students and Teacher of the Month from St. Clair County High School (SCCHS).
January’s recipients include Bailey Coupland, who is a senior at SCCHS. Bailey has been a member of the Senior Beta Club for three years and a member of the SCCHS Cabaret for four years. She plans to further her education at Jacksonville State University this fall.
Also selected for January was J.D. Staub, a senior at SCCHS. He is part of the varsity cross country team, the wrestling team, and the soccer team. After graduation, J.D. plans to join the Navy and pursue a career as a nuclear engineer.
Shown in the January photo are Rotarian Jamie Townes, J.D. Staub, and Bailey Coupland.
Recognized for February was Erica Murray. Erica has maintained an "A" average throughout her four years at SCCHS. She participated in the Beta Club, won awards in the Saint Clarion yearbook, and climbed the ladder in her JROTC program to become the battalion commander her senior year. Erica plans to attend UAB in the fall to pursue a career in the medical field.
Ethan Jackson is also as senior at SCCHS and attends Calvary Baptist Church. Ethan has been a member of the Beta Club for three years, and played football, baseball, and basketball all four years of his high school career. He is currently enlisted in the Army National Guard and plans to attend JSU after graduation.

The Teacher of the Month is Jamie Cline, who is a Special Education teacher at SCCHS. Mrs. Cline is a dedicated teacher who works tirelessly to help her students. She is always quick with a smile and an encouraging word for any student or faculty member in need. Mrs. Cline has been in education for 25 years, the last 16 spent serving students at SCCHS. She recently completed her master's degree in school psychometry in addition to her special education background. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Chris and children Kylie and Creed. She loves her dogs, Mowgli, Ellie, and Juno, and also enjoys gardening and antiquing.
