Students who don’t read lose an average of 2-3 months of reading proficiency during the summer and over time, those lost months add up to years. Perry Rotary Club is aimed to prevent that from happening with our annual book fair.
Students who don’t read lose an average of 2-3 months of reading proficiency during the summer and over time, those lost months add up to years. Perry Rotary Club is aimed to prevent that from happening with our annual book fair.

This year our club was excited to give away over 3,000 books to students at Morningside and Tucker Elementery School to take home and read over the summer. Each student at each school recived at least 1 book to incourage them to read over summer vacation and help them retain what they have learned over the school year. This is one of our favorite projects we do as a club, and it it priceless to see the excitement on all the kids faces.
