Just 3 days after Hurricane Michael tore its way across the Florida Panhandle, then made its way across Georgia, a group of Rotarians and volunteers joined with Kids Against Hunger of Cairo, GA to pack meals for the victims of this hurricane. This event, hosted by the Perry, Byron, and Centerville Rotary Clubs, was planned months ago to package food to go to other areas in need, but with the aftermath of Hurricane Michael, it only seemed right that this food would be sent to our neighbors in need. With the help of 60 people, just over 15,000 meals were assembled in about 2 hours.

Ciro, GA and many people in Middle Georgia were affected directly by this hurricane. It is great to know that in the aftermath of the storm the community can come together to help others that were affected so much more.
