Today's Presentation

We were visited today by Caroline Wilson and Toni McIntosh. They are with the Napa County Office of Education and work with students who are at-risk and have exhausted many avenues toward achieving an education. Caroline is the Director of the Juvenile and Community School Programs and Toni is an Interventional Specialist.

The program began with a video that provided an outstanding demonstration of the programs and the students that are served. The primary program presented was the Camille Creek School.

Caroline provided the history and background of Camille Creek Community School. There are approximately 150 students of high school age at the school (9th grade - 12th grade). Numersous questions were asked by the membership as people were impressed by the program and the work that is done to support some of the most at-risk teens in Napa County. It was noted that the Camille Creek Community School is, in many respects, the last chance for students before they are out of the educational system and that the teachers and staff at Camille Creek work very hard to support their students.
