Law of Life Scholarship Update - Rayna Carter

Recently, our Youth Services Chair, Jared Eakins, heard from our recent Law of Life Scholarship Winner, Rayna Carter. Rayna has just finished her first year at UGA. Here is what she shared.
I am now a rising second year honors student at the University of Georgia with majors in Psychology, Biology, and Sociology. I have had the honor of serving UGA's students and the Athens community through UGA's Student Government Association as a Franklin College of Arts and Sciences Senator and as an Engagement, Leadership, and Service Peer Leader. I have also found newfound passion in completing undergraduate research! As a Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities (CURO) Honors Scholar, I currently conduct research in two labs and have presented my findings at a symposium! This summer, I will be interning full-time in a National Institute of Health sponsored lab. I will also present some of my research findings at a conference in Minnesota later in July!

My journey here at UGA has brought me so much growth. I'm excited to share that I am on track to graduate one year early, and I am preparing to attend graduate school and conduct research as well as teach in higher education! This journey would have been extremely difficult without the support of Loganville's Rotary Club. I am so honored to have received your scholarship!
