Loganville Rotary Supports Meals of Hope

What a great day for our 2023 Rotary Has Heart Meals of Hope service project!  On February 18th, Rotary Clubs from all over North Georgia, including 8 members from our very own Rotary Club of Loganville assembled at the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology in Lawrenceville and packed over 39,000 meals.

Millions of people across the country are facing food insecurity right now.  It doesn’t matter your zip code.  Data from the Community Foundation of Northeast Georgia shows 10% of Gwinnett County is considered food insecure.  The Rotary has Heart meal packing event sends meals directly back to our community to those that need them most. The majority of the boxes of meals will be moved to local Lawrenceville ministries, where they will eventually be distributed to Gwinnett County Public Schools students through school counselors.  This is one of those events where we get the chance to roll up our sleeves and make a difference, not only through monetary donations, but through some hard work.
