Member Spotlight - Nicholas Key

Nicholas Key is one of our youngest members, very likely he is THE YOUNGEST. This doesn't stop him from being one of the most engaged. He is currently a Graduate Student at the University of Georgia pursuing a degree in Public Administration. He joined in 2021 and share that he did so because he is motivated to help others and have a career in public service. As a lifetime resident of Loganville he was seeking to be more involved in the community.

He is currently the Co-Chair of the GRSP (Georgia Rotary Student Program) along with Jared Eakins. One of the bigger tasks this past year has been to coordinate and engage in activities with our current international student, Thiago Simm. He adds that they have grown to be close friends.

Nicholas shared that the most fulfilling moment for him was to witness the presentation of the cash dotation to Special Kneads & Treats after the Golf Tournaments. He shared, "It was a visual representation of the hard work that our club had engaged in, and it illustrated that our club unquestionably makes a difference in our community."

In addition to this community service experience, he has learned and observed leadership and team building. He has been happy to work together with individuals that keep the mood light while sharing a passion for helping the community. As a result, it is impossible not to have fun in the experience. Because of this, he wants everyone to know that getting up for a 7:15 AM meeting isn't painful when you realize it is worth it!
