The Rotary Club of Spartanburg earns regional and international awards.

The Rotary Club of Spartanburg has been recognized by both the District Governor and by the Rotary International President Shekhar Mehta for their work in the 2021-22 year.

President William Gray with Immediate Past President Cindy Kelly, under whose tenure the awards were earned.
The Governor's Award recognizes the achievements of the Club.  Each year, the District Governor analyses over 60 activities that a Club can complete to earn recognition from Gold, Silver, and Bronze levels. The Rotary Club of Spartanburg earned Silver recognition.

The Rotary President's Award, formerly the Rotary Citation, is similar, but each year the Rotary International President lists 20-25 activities for a Club to achieve the Award, such as achieving the membership goal, Foundation donation goal, service projects, etc.

District Governor Joyce Morin says, "The purpose of each award is to provide action items which will strengthen your club and increase its impact.  The outcome will be greater energy, more engagement, leadership development, and communities at home and abroad improved by your selfless efforts and contributions.  We celebrate these achievements through these awards.

Congratulations on Spartanburg Rotary Club's wonderful success."
