Steffanie Sorrells is the current Assistant Governor for Rotary District 6910. Her prior roles include President and Public Image Chair for her Winder Club. Her professional role is the VP of Merchant Services for Bank OZK.

When I asked Steffanie about her experience with Rotary and where the mission and objectives truly hit their mark, she mentioned the motto Service Above Self. She explains, “I have learned that serving others thru service; that has no benefit to me personally, is the most rewarding experience. Rotary gives me constant opportunities to serve in a multitude of ways to a multitude of organizations.”

While Service Above Self is the reason many join, it is also helpful to hear what members gain from their Rotarian experience. For Steffanie it has been the opportunity to meet so many different people from all over the world.

Because Steffanie visits many clubs we discussed that she thinks people show know about the Loganville Rotary Club and she said she wished everyone knew what a FUN and generous club we are. Further, Steffanie commented that it’s important that this doesn’t feel like a job. Meetings should be something we look forward to attending and be excited about. Keeping it fun, raises the engagement, and because of that we are able to achieve more in our communities.
