George Rutto, from Nairobi Kenya, was visiting Spartanburg to attend graduation ceremonies for his daughter at the University of South Carolina Upstate.  At a lunch hosted by several officers of the Spartanburg Rotary Club, we learned that George is a banker , CPA, runner,  golfer and hobby farmer.  The signature project of his Rotary Club is sponsorship of a home for children with disabilities, many of whom have been abandoned by their parents or families.

"Thank you too for hosting me together with some of your club officials for lunch. I am honored.

I have briefed my Club  President and we have agreed I do a brief presentation to the club membership during our next in person meeting in January. He was excited about the prospect of the two clubs collaborating in whichever way it can happen in the spirit of Rotary.

Once again, thank you and I look forward to our two clubs engaging more." --George Rutto

The Rotary Club of Spartanburg looks forward to working with our new friends and fellow Rotarians in Kenya!
